Tomás E. Monarrez

I am a Senior Research Fellow at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. I received my PhD in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

My research focuses on the economics of education, public finance, and consumer finance. I study how government policies — from school attendance boundaries to federal student lending — shape access to opportunity and contribute to economic inequality.
